We are looking for well-written, smart, and engaging pieces from students, staff, faculty, alumni, and affiliates of McAfee School of Theology.

 

We are currently looking for articles of 500 words or less on topics falling under theology, arts & culture, and McAfee news. Humor is welcomed, but we generally do not publish short stories or other types of fiction. If you have a story to tell, we want to hear it! We are also showcasing artistic talent so we want worship songs, poetry, spoken word, painting, photography, etc. Send us an email with the idea you have for a piece or attach a draft; we'll get back to you within a week and let you know if Tableaux Online will feature you.

 

 

Submission Guidelines

1. Write for a general audience

2. Keep it less than 500 words (exceptions are made, but they are exceptions)

3. Avoid lengthy quotes (Please do not quote entire paragraphs or large scripture quotations)

4. Include a one or two sentence byline (Name, position, graduation year, etc.)

5. Attach photos, videos, YouTube, etc. that coincide with your article

6. Submit as either "doc" or "docx" and write in size 11 or 12 Calibri or Arial font 

7. Submit material to tableaux@mercer.edu with "Article Submission" in the subject line

 

We cannot guarantee we will run your article but we will contact you if you plan to do so.  We reserve the right to edit your submissions as needed for clarity and style.
